The Tucson Electric Vehicle Association 2 (TEVA2) is a chapter of the Electric Auto Association, a national non-profit organization formed in 1967 to promote the use of electric vehicles as a viable transportation alternative that is efficient, economical, ecological and available today. Tucson had a TEVA in the 80's, so we are just continuation of the original group. TEVA2 was founded in 2004 by Rush Dougherty and John Barnes, as of 2010 we have 15 card-carrying members, a mailing list of about 100, monthly meetings attended by about 20 people and our members have 7 conversions.

Below is the 2010 meeting schedule, UMC (directions below), 9 am to about 11 am. Some of the weekends had to be changed because of conflicts with the hospital.

We will have Flooded Lead Acid presentation and a DC/AC Motor presentation during the year. This is a tenative schedule, so please check the website again a week before the actual meeting to make sure that there are not any changes to the Topic.

1/15/2010 - The J-1772 Standard has been published, here is link to the SAE store http://www.sae.org/technical/standards/J1772_201001

I will be buying a copy so that TEVA2 has one to see what the necessary signals are so that we can use the J-1772 plug in chargers. The next step for us is to get the plug...
